Academic Team / Governor's Cup News

Middle School Academic Team
Our middle school academic team was the overall winner with the
most points in the District Governor’sCup! Our Quick Recall Team has been undefeated this entire season. In the Districts they won every
match against some tough competition from Covington Latin, Blessed Sacrament, and Beechwood.The Future Problem Solving team took first place in their competition, and eight of our students who
took written assessments in Science, Math, Composition, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Arts and Humanities placed in the top five of their subject areas. The members of the Quick Recall Team are:
Logan Boyle, Sam Kunkler, Quinn Pastura, Jonathan Turnwald, Abby Lehman, Kaitlyn Noll, and Andrew and Timothy Belton. The
Future Problem Solving Team who competed at the District are: Peter
Schaefer, Logan Boyle, Kylie Moellering, and Amy Pugliano. The students and their rankings in the individual subject areas are: Sam Kunkler, 4th in Math; Logan Boyle, 3rd in Science; Peter Schaefer, 5th
in Composition; Jonathan Turnwald, 1st and Mark Briede, 2nd in Social Studies; Quinn Pastura, 2nd and Abby Lehman, 4th in Language Arts; and Abby Lehman, 1st in Arts and Humanities. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Barb Fritz at 341-6609.

Elementary Academic Team
The Academic Team for Grades 3 – 5 will begin practice on Wednesday, September 15 at 4:00 pm.  We will practice each Wednesday from 4 – 5:30 pm in the library and FCC. All students in Grades 3 – 5 are invited to join the Academic Team.
